Canadiens vs Sabres game thread & lineups

Which team in the NHL has had a longer history of ugly uniforms than the Sabres? Maybe the Canucks? Coyotes? The Ducks? The Sabres went through a period from 1996-2010 where their uniforms were just awful. They seemed to fix it for a bit, but then they introduced the hideous alternate predominantly yellow jerseys.

It took a little while, but this iteration of the Habs’ lines might cause me the least amount of anguish. Eller is given quality wingers, Bourque and Moen are out, Dale Weise isn’t on the top line, and Bournival is drawing in. Will the result differ?

Buffalo goes with the same lineup that won Sunday night. This is a team that hasn’t won back-to-back games this year, so are they easy pickings or a potentially dangerous opponent?

I’m not sure I agree with the decision to bench Nathan Beaulieu – I thought his game was solid and I’m not convinced he’s part of the problem. Laura Saba has some thoughts on the problem and the solution.

Will Beaulieu and Tinordi (barring injuries) ever draw into the lineup on the same night again? Are Gorges and Gionta the ex-Habs you most want to see or least want to see playing against the Canadiens?

See you in the comments!

Update: It appears that Mike Weaver is sitting and both Beaulieu and Tinordi are drawing in, possibly alongside one another.
