Ice Level with Andrew Berkshire

UPDATE: Listen to the podcast!

Tonight on Ice Level, we are once again missing our good pal Conor McKenna, who is in Miami on a short vacation. We’re also missing James David, who is on a top secret mission somewhere across the Ontario border. This is the first time we haven’t had James David on the show since the first ever episode. Instead, Arik Parnass and I will be joined by Hockey Prospectus writer and analytics pioneer Tom Awad in studio.

First up, one of the more intriguing aspects of Tom Awad and Rob Vollman’s new Hockey Abstract book is the Hall of Fame predictor, so we’re going to debate which current NHLers deserve consideration for the Hockey Hall of Fame upon their retirement.

Secondly, we’re going to take advantage of having Tom on the show to debate which current NHL team is the biggest mess. Which team do you think is the most flawed in the NHL?

Finally, we’ll get to the question on everyone’s mind, what should the Canadiens do with their remaining cap space, should they sign Francis Bouillon?
