Canadiens vs Bruins game thread & lineups

I spoke through twitter this morning with former 2004 World Series champion (and avid hockey fan) Keith Foulke about evolution and the good news is I didn’t get suspended from SB Nation like I was some budget version of Keith Law. Foulke was funny and gracious. I have to shake myself of any notion that Boston is a good city with good people who deserve to not have a solid drubbing placed on the backs of their hometown Bruins.

Former Manitoba Moose defenseman Bryan Allen makes his debut for the Montreal Canadiens after coming over from the Ducks in the Bourque trade. Tom Gilbert and Nathan Beaulieu will both sit for the Habs which seems confusing. Second straight scratch for Nathan Beaulieu.

It’s believed that Glass Joe Milan Lucic will be in a foul mood after getting one punched by Dalton Prout of the Blue Jackets last night. My thoughts are that there will be a lot of pomp and circumstance around Lucic trying to re-prove himself as a tough guy legend, but nothing will come of it tonight.

The call-up today of Matt Lindblad and Jordan Caron reinforces the belief that Marchand and Krejci are both out for tonight’s game. In a corresponding move Zach Trotman was sent down which leaves Boston with just six healthy defensemen.

In this third of four meetings of the divisional rivals, Carey Price and Tuukka Rask will start for the Habs and B’s respectively.

Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EST (8:30 PM In Newfoundland!)
