It appears that the absence of Galchenyuk is precautionary and tales of his demise are much exaggerated. He is hurt, but it seems like it’s not six weeks serious.
I’m worried the Habs won’t win this one because they didn’t take to their old strategy of single digit shots in the second period. Nice to see the Habs fire a ton of rubber at Crawford, awful to see Crawford just stop everything including a nice Max Pacioretty. Patches is still looking for his 40th, it’d be period sweet to see him get the game winner (his 11th of the year btw) against the Hawks. It’s amazing to see him get to this point after the lacklustre start to the year.
Next goal wins. It’ll be a power play goal. Now – who will score it? I’m going on a limb and calling Gorges. It’d be great to Pacioretty get it, but what an inspiration goal going into the playoffs if Gorges grabs it.
