The Montreal Canadiens have selected Russian defenceman Alexander Romanov with the 38th overall pick in the NHL Draft. Playing for Krasnaya Armiya Moskva of the MHL last year, Romanov tallied seven goals and seven assists in 37 games. In the under-18 tournament he also notched three points in five games.
