TSN agrees: Alex Galchenyuk should be playing centre

I may have just posted an article strongly disagreeing with TSN’s exclusion of P.K. Subban from their projected Canada World Cup roster, but on this topic we are in full agreement. It is actually very refreshing to hear some mainstream media talking about how Alex Galchenyuk isn’t being used at Centre, and that he should be.

It’s pretty simple, Galchenyuk was drafted to become the team’s number one centre eventually. Whether or not they think he’s ready to be that now, they really should just use him there for the rest of the year. As Ferraro says in the video, if he makes some mistakes it’s not that big of a deal, because the Canadiens season already seems lost.

If he is to become the number one centre, he needs to get experience. The coaches will never be able to fully trust him until he has said experience, and the only way for him to get it is to play the position.

In any case, it is great to see more people talking about Galchenyuk being a centreman.
