Group A Preliminary Game
1:30 PM ET: Sweden vs Germany
Germany is coming off of one of their biggest wins in their tournament history against Finland on Wednesday. They will be heavy underdogs again against Sweden, who had a day off on Wednesday. The Swedes pulled away late against Latvia on Tuesday, and will not want to give Germany any hope like their rivals did. The game will be on TSN 1/4/5 and RDS in Canada and NHL Network in the US.
Group B Preliminary Game
11:00 AM ET: Switzerland vs United States
The United States had a much tougher time against Norway than were expected by the tournament favourites. A 4-1 win was not what was expected, but they can build on the end of their game. Switzerland played very tough against Slovakia and the 3-0 scoreline doesn’t do them justice after two empty net goals. The game will be on TSN 1/4 and RDS in Canada and NHL Network in the US.
