2019 NHL Entry Draft: Preview, start time, TV schedule, and how to watch

As they did last year, the Montreal Canadiens enter the 2019 NHL Draft with 10 selections to make over the two-day event. The prospect pool was given a major injection of talent one year ago, and a similar boost will be coming this weekend.

It’s time for Trevor Timmins to shine

Because they finished the season just outside of a playoff spot, the Canadiens will have to wait until about the midpoint of the opening round to make their pick. As things currently stand, Montreal holds the 15th overall selection, looking for one of the best mid-tier prospects available.

After the top two picks of Jack Hughes and Kaapo Kakko are made, there’s plenty of intrigue for the remainder of the first round. In all the chaos, Montreal could come away with a great prospect despite a relatively low position.
