Team logos for the 2016 World Cup

The logos for each team participating in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey have been released, and they are pretty cool. Each team features variations of logos they may have used in the past, with the exceptions of North America U23 and Europe, which are new teams for international competition.

Let’s get it started with Canada, who went with a redesigned version of the Maple Leaf that is pretty slick. A stick tap goes out to ESPN for the find.

On to the USA, who went with a similar design to their 2014 Sochi logo, although I find this one much nicer.

Russia went with the classic two-headed Eagle for their logo.

Finland‘s crest is something I really like.

Sweden‘s team is known as Tre Kronor, so it stands to reason that they went with the classic three crowns.

The Czech Republic, who may be captained by the Canadiens’ Tomas Plekanec, will be rocking a Lion.

The North America U23 team has a pretty edgy look to their logo, and I like it.

Team Europe has the only logo I’m not crazy about. It’s just an E. Each player will however wear their home country’s flag on their shoulder, which is definitely awesome.

There you have it, all the logos for this year’s World Cup. The roster announcements are still underway, and we will be sure to have detailed coverage for you on EOTP.
