Relegation Round - Game Two (Denmark leads 1-0)

12 PM ET: Denmark vs Belarus

Denmark had one of the greatest comebacks in hockey history on Tuesday. Trailing 4-3 with 35 seconds remaining, they scored two goals in 19 seconds to end up with a 5-4 victory to take the first game of the best-of-three relegation series. Belarus will look to extend this to a third and deciding game, while Denmark looks to clinch their spot in the top division next year.

Semi-finals

4 PM ET: USA vs Sweden

Two of the pre-tournament favourites go up against each other for a spot in the Gold Medal game. The two teams reportedly wanted to play the early semi-final in order to get the extra rest before Friday’s final. This game features two of the top prospects in the 2018 NHL Draft in Sweden’s Rasmus Dahlin and USA’s Brady Tkachuk. Two first-round picks are also scoring at will in this tournament in Lias Andersson (five goals) and Kieffer Bellows (six). Canadiens first-round pick Ryan Poehling has been heavily leaned upon by the Americans for his two-way game. The game will be on TSN 1/3/4/5 and RDS in Canada. NHL Network in the US will also show the game.

8 PM ET: Canada vs Czech Republic

Canada has not been challenged indoors at this year’s tournament, but that may change against the upstart Czech Republic. The Czechs have three of the tournament’s top scorers in the tournament in Martin Necas (3G, 6A), Filip Zadina (5G, 1A) and the tournament’s top scoring defender Libor Hajek (1G, 6A). They have also had key contributions from Martin Kaut and Filip Chytil. Zadina and Kaut are both eligible for the 2018 NHL Draft.

Canada has gotten great play up and down the lineup, and are expected to have Victor Mete back in the lineup. There is extra “drama” as we wait to see how the Czechs will try and throw Carter Hart (3-0-1, 1.96 GAA, .920%) off his game due to the attention his superstitions are getting. The game will be on TSN 1/3/4/5 and RDS2 in Canada. NHL Network in the USA will show the game.

All games shown on TSN will be streamed on TSN Go in Canada, but it requires a subscription to TSN.
