After coming away with a relatively easy victory over the 2016 champions on Monday, Team Canada will hope to keep the pre-event momentum going when they take on Czech Republic in Ottawa.
The teams have already played each other once this month, pitting preliminary squads against one another a week ago in the final contest before Canada made its final cuts. The game was an 8-0 drubbing in favour of the Canadians, and the Czechs will want to make sure that doesn’t happen again.
Canada made a small change from the lineup that played the Finns on Monday, as Mitchell Stevens moves up to the first line to join Dylan Strome and Pierre-Luc Dubois. All indications are that coach Dominique Ducharme is relatively happy with the lineup he currently has, and most of the lines and pairing will get another game to build some chemistry before the real competition begins on Boxing Day.
