World Juniors 2016: Denmark vs Canada preview, TV schedule, lineups, and game thread

After a disappointing loss to the United States, Team Canada will look to earn their first win of the tournament as they face Denmark.

Canada's defence was shaky in their opening game, and their offense was relatively stagnant. They managed to outshoot the United States 27-25, however Alex Nedeljkovic stood tall, limiting the rebound opportunities, and frustrating the Canadian forwards. Dylan Strome and Matthew Barzal managed to score for Canada.

If they hope to bring home gold once again this year, they'll need to shift their offensive game into high gear, earning more scoring chances and shots. They'll also need better goaltending from Mason McDonald, and a more stable blue line presence from players like Hicketts, Chabot, Fleury and Hickey.

Denmark will present a perfect opportunity for the defending champs to solve their current woes. Of course, the Danes won't simply roll over, even if they're facing a hockey powerhouse.

They'll be riding the momentum of their historic win yesterday, which saw them beat a team in the World Junior Championship for the first time in regulation. Soren Nielsen and Mathias From scored for Denmark, whereas Thomas Lillie stopped 22 of the 23 shots sent his way.
