World Junior Hockey Championships schedule 2015: January 2nd, 2015

Relegation Round

Switzerland vs Germany

The opening game of 2015 pits Germany against the Swiss in a battle to stay in the top level of junior hockey. The best of three series is set to begin at 11 AM EST at the ACC in Toronto.

Quarterfinal Games

Russia vs United States

Both teams look to keep their medal hopes alive at the Bell Centre in Montreal at 1PM EST. The US dropped a heartbreaking game to their rival in Team Canada while Russia fell short against Sweden in the opening round. TSN will air the game in Canada while NHL Network will have the action in the States.

Sweden vs Finland

The longtime rivals will meet in a rematch of last years championship game at 3 PM EST. Finland limped into the knockout stages with a win over Germany while Sweden blasted through the opening round with ease. TSN 2 will have the action in Canada while NHL Network will bring you the action after the end of Russia vs USA.

Slovakia vs Czech Republic

Your 5 PM EST game features two sides that had a very inconsistent opening round. Slovakia is living and dying on the performances of goalie Dennis Godla who has been incredible thus far. The Czechs needed a win in their final game against Russia in order to squeak into the knock out stages. TSN will have the game in Canada while NHL Network will bring the action to the Americans.

Canada vs Denmark

In the final game of the day medal favourites Canada take on the talk of the tournament in Denmark at 8 PM EST. Canada closed out their opening round with a thrilling 5-3 win over Team USA while Denmark won in a shootout over the Swiss to advance. Zachary Fucale will get the start for Canada.
