Jack Eichel gets first World Junior Hockey Championship point

It didn't take very long for Jack Eichel to make his impact for Team USA, setting up a beautiful goal on the powerplay.

Superstar American forward Jack Eichel is largely unknown for Canadian audiences. We hear all the time that he could challenge Connor McDavid for the first pick overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, but it wasn't until today that most of the country was able to get their first look at him, and he didn't take long to make his presence felt.

With Team USA trailing Finland 1-0 after a fluke bounce opening goal, Eichel used his elite vision and soft hands to take advantage of misplaying a puck to open up a hole in Finland's coverage while the USA was on a powerplay, and fed a wide open Alex Tuch for a beautiful goal from right in front.

If this is what we can expect from Eichel going forward, he's going to be extremely fun to watch for a really long time.
