World Juniors 2014 Game Thread: Canada vs Finland

New, comments

Canada is facing a do or die situation once more, or at least from the Canadian perspective of gold or nothing.

Bruce Bennett

After taking out the Swiss two days ago, Team Canada faces a sterner challenge in a surprisingly strong Finnish squad with nothing to lose. Teuvo Teravainen is the guy Canada will have to watch out for, as the high end playmaker has the ability to take over games. Also of note of course is Artturi Lehkonen, who has been injured for most of the World Juniors, but played in Finland's last game.

Charles Hudon and Zachary Fucale line up for Canada, with Hudon also playing injured, and Fucale being the best Canadian player for the last two games straight.

The winner today punches a ticket to the gold medal game, a fate that seemed impossible for this Canadian team when the tournament began. The game begins at 1pm EST on TSN.
