Mark McNeill is replacing Charles Hudon in the World Juniors after Hudon was put out of action with a back injury. Details on the injury are a little thin thus far, but obviously we hope that Hudon is not that badly hurt and can get back into game action for Chicoutimi soon. Hudon leaves Team Canada with one assist in 1 pre-tournament game, and he'll likely be back in the tournament again next year as a 19 year old.
Luckily we still have a Habs prospect to watch in this game, and that's #15 for Sweden, Sebastian Collberg. Collberg also had an assist in his first game, and he played very well against the USA.
Sweden still hasn't finished their cuts, so it's likely that Canada faces a weakened Swedish squad, much like they did against Finland.
Jonathan Huberdeau is eligible for game action today, so we'll get to see the top line for Canada in action for the first time.
The focus today will be testing out the goaltenders after Malcolm Subban wasn't so hot against Finland, and curbing the discipline issue of Thursday's game against Finland.
Game starts at 9:30 EST on TSN.
