World Cup of Hockey: Team Europe final roster

Lars Eller was not named to talented group of players you'd be better off not underestimating as Europe names its first World Cup roster

Making their debut at the World Cup of Hockey, Team Europe promises to be a good group.

Much like Team North America, countries like Sweden and Canada would be best not to take this team lightly as they form an all-star team of sorts and have talent up and down the roster.

In goal, there is no standout number one, but all three goaltenders have a chance to steal games no matter who they choose. On defence, Zdeno Chara is not who he once was, but is far from the worst defenceman in this tournament. Roman Josi also is a big player for this team.

Up front, it is a mix of veterans and young players as evidenced by the mix of Marian Hossa and Thomas Vanek and Leon Draisaitl and Tomas Tatar. The second wave of additions with Marian Gaborik and others adds to the sneaky depth of this team.

As much as this team and Team North America have come under criticism for being gimmicky, it will be fun to watch a team of players we normally wouldn't see together.
