A few months after taking their initial stand to sit out of North American professional hockey after the CWHL folded, the Professional Women’s Hockey Player’s Association have announced dates for their first three tournaments, called the Dream Gap Tour.

The first tournament will be held September 20-22 in Toronto. Other events have been announced are in Hudson, New Hampshire from October 4-6 and Chicago, Illinois from October 18-20.

Other events will be held throughout the year, including in Montreal however dates for other events have not been confirmed at this time.

The tour will include a lot of the top names in women’s hockey including former Canadiennes like Hilary Knight and Marie-Philip Poulin. For the first time, they will take to the ice in a professional setting with players like Amanda Kessel, Kendall Coyne-Schofield, and others.

According to the Associated Press, around 80 players will be split into four teams playing a three-game round-robin tournament followed by a championship game, and include youth clinics.

The Montreal chapter of the PWHPA has also announced a golf tournament on September 27, as well as a game against the University of Montreal on October 10 at 7:00 p.m. at CEPSUM. Details on those events can be found here.
