Wishing The Best To “Le Gros Bill”

In light of Canadiens legend Jean Beliveau suffering a stroke on Monday, we at Eyes On The Prize want to wish the very best to “Le Gros Bill” and his family at this time.

With that in mind, we thought we’de leave this space for our readers to leave their comments and well wishes, for Mr. Beliveau.

After a week or so we will pass your messages, on behalf of the entire EOTP and SBN community, on to Mr. Beliveau, care of the Canadiens.

With that in mind, do keep your comments to what is requested, and try to avoid debate on unrelated issues.

Update Feb 29: Mr. Beliveau is reported to be in stable condition and resting comfortably. He has received visits from former teammates Dickie Moore and Yvan Cournoyer.

“The news this morning is very positive that he can now view people and know who he is taking with, and it’s very nice,” Moore said, in a report from CTV. “I told him yesterday this is going to turn around, you’ll be back in the fort, and it’s showing all the signs of a recovery.”

March 1: Dave Stubbs of the Montreal Gazette spoke to Beliveau’s wife Elise, on Thursday. She said he was speaking, laughing and regaining some strength, but is being monitored closely by specialists.
