Will Bitten traded to the Hamilton Bulldogs
The talented Habs prospect leaves Flint and will head to the Bulldogs for the 2016-17 season
Will Bitten has received his wish, and has been traded from the Flint Firebirds to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League.
After an incredibly tumultuous previous season in Flint, which resulted in Firebirds owner Rolf Nilsen being suspended 5 years by the OHL, Bitten refused to report to the Firebirds training camp this season and requested a trade. He originally wanted to be traded to the Ottawa 67’s, however it appears as if several players refused to be part of a trade that saw them sent to Flint.
By coming to the Hamilton Bulldogs, Bitten is clearly positioned as one of the best players on the team, and even though the Bulldogs are not necessarily one of the best teams in the OHL, it’s definitely a healthier environment than the one he experienced in Flint.
@BulldogsOHL pay big, big price for Bitten. Goalie at NHL camp (Connor Hicks), NHL prospect (Fedor Gordeev) and two 2nd-rd pix. #HamOnt https://t.co/RQlgmNYW98

Bitten was a third round selection by the Montreal Canadiens in this past summer’s entry draft. He ranked #14 in EOTP’s annual T25U25 rankings.
