Alain played two seasons with the Laval Rocket in AHL, netting 19 goals and 33 assists in that time. He signed his ELC with the Canadiens at the conclusion of the 2017-18 QMJHL season.
Alain was not on the list of players invited to training camp yesterday despite being a 23-year-old player on an NHL deal, and this explains that decision, one that he himself made as he pursues an alternate career path.
