The Montreal Canadiens announce the signing of Tomas Plekanec to a one-year contract.
The Canadiens agree to terms on a one-year contract ($2.25M) with free agent forward Tomas Plekanec. He could get up to an additional $1.25M in performance bonuses. #GoHabsGo

The contract carries a $2.25 million cap hit, with the potential for more in bonuses.
Plekanec returning to the Canadiens will give him the opportunity to hit two major milestones: 1,000 games in the NHL and 1,000 games with the Montreal Canadiens.
Plekanec was dealt at the trade deadline to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Rinat Valiev, Kerby Rychel, and a second round draft pick.
