- While the debate around NHL participation in the Olympics continues, IIHF chair Rene Fasel has said they will cover the costs of player transportation, insurance, and accommodations. However, that doesn’t guarantee anything for certain. [SN]

- The Tampa Bay Lightning have announced that captain Steven Stamkos is out indefinitely after suffering a lateral meniscus tear. [RC]
