1953: Gerry McNeil recorded his 24th career shutout to lead the Canadiens to a 1-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

1972: Jacques Lemaire scored his third career hat trick and added an assist as Montreal beat the New York Islanders 4-3. It was the first hat trick scored at Nassau Colisuem.

1991: Roland Melanson posted his second consecutive shutout (the 6th and final of his career) and led Montreal to a 5-0 win against the Quebec Nordiques.

1992: Mike Keane had a goal and three assists for the Habs as they beat the Philadelphia Flyers 7-6 at the Spectrum.
