The Canadiens call up Chris Terry from the IceCaps

The Montreal Canadiens have announced that they’re called up forward Chris Terry from the St. John’s IceCaps of the AHL.

With Artturi Lehkonen on the injured reserve, the Canadiens are now at their 23-man roster limit.

Terry played 68 games in the NHL last season for the Carolina Hurricanes, scoring eight goals and adding three assists in the process.

In 14 games with the IceCaps this year, Terry has five goals and ten assists, good enough for first on the team and fifth in the entire AHL. Interestingly, Charles Hudon, who only saw two games with the Canadiens last year despite a depleted roster, was not the one to get the call. He leads the AHL with eight goals this season.
