Superbowl Sunday: Game thread, Start time, injuries, and TV Schedule

If there’s a team that knows a thing or two about winning repeat championships in the NFL, it’s Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. In what should be a great Super Bowl, Russel Wilson and the Seahawks will look to become the first team to win back-to-back championships since none other than their opponent.

The Seahawks are everyone’s favourite bandwagon team in Western Canada, an for good reason as they have shown the ability to win big games all year, particularly in the playoffs. Their route to the NFC championship was paved with comeback victories, and they’ll be looking to avoid a slow start in this one for sure.

Tom Brady, meanwhile is looking to capture that elusive fourth ring, having lost his last two attempts at it to the
New York Giants. This game on paper looks like it could easily become one for the ages.

The young Running Back Jonas Gray being inactive for the Patriots hasn’t slowed them down so far, but it will be interesting to see if they can establish a run attack against a stingy Seattle defense with LeGarrette Blount. This might be their biggest challenge, which would help them open things up for Tom Brady in the passing game.

Seattle will also have to contend with the likes of Rob Gronkowski, who will undoubtedly require a lot of attention, which can also open up holes for Brady. The Seattle offense is no slouch either. Marshawn Lynch is surely the most talented Running Back in this game, and Russel Wilson may not yet have the pedigree of Tom Brady but it says a lot that he’s looking for his second Super Bowl at the age of 26. This one really has all the makings for a fantastic game.
