With the acquisition of Nikita Nesterov, and the impending return to play for Andrei Markov, the Canadiens placed defender Zach Redmond on waivers.
Zach Redmond n'a pas été réclamé au ballottage et est cédé aux IceCaps #lavoiedubé

The defenceman was not claimed by any teams, and will thus join the St. John’s IceCaps in the AHL, who can surely use a veteran defenceman in their ranks as they attempt to qualify for the playoffs.
Redmond, 28, was signed to a two-year contract on July 1st. In 16 games with the Canadiens, Redmond has produced five assists. His shot control numbers during these 16 games were fantastic, topping out at almost 58%.
