Canadiens vs. Sharks: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

The Habs are looking to get back into the win column in sunny California.

The Montreal Canadiens are going into San Jose on a cold streak, although they did manage to push the game against the Toronto Maple Leafs to overtime last Saturday. They are facing the 1-3 San Jose Sharks who have also picked up their only win against the Buffalo Sabres.

For the first time since he made the NHL, Patrick Marleau is not a Shark, and therefore the Canadiens will not have to worry about him on the attack. However, the Sharks still have some intriguing depth like youngster Timo Meier on the third line.

On the Habs’ side of the matchup, Alex Galchenyuk is still on the fourth line and Artturi Lehkonen has been moved up to the first line with Jonathan Drouin and Max Pacioretty.

On defence, Joe Morrow is making his season debut in place of the struggling Jordie Benn. Morrow will play alongside Brandon Davidson on the third pair.

As always, Carey Price is the starting goalie tonight. He is looking for his second win of the season.

Puck drop is at 10:30 PM EDT / 7:30 PM PDT
