Russia looks to keep rolling against Germany

Russia won an important game yesterday against the Americans, and although they have to play back to back, today shouldn’t be much of a challenge.

Against Germany, the high flying Russians should be set to show their skills, as guys like Nail Yakupov and Mikhail Grigorenko will have room to wheel and deal.

Expect a high scoring game from the Russian side, and likely a start for Andrei Vasilevski. I’m not sure if Vasilevski or Andrei Makarov is the starter for the Russians going forward, but they can’t really lose out either way. Both of their goaltenders have been fantastic in this tournament and both have another year of eligibility.

Game time is 9:00AM EST.
