2025 AHL Calder Cup Playoffs
North Division Final Game 5: Laval Rocket (N1) vs. Rochester Americans (N2)
Series tied 2-2
How to watch
Start time: 4:30 PM EDT / 1:30 PM PDT
In Canada: RDS2 (French)
Streaming: FloHockey, RDS
The Rocket didn’t respond the way head coach Pascal Vincent nor the Montreal Canadiens brass hoped in Game 4 with a chance to advance to the AHL conference final. They played one of their worst games of the season, losing their first chance to move on.
But they did have a second chance in their pocket, and thanks to their work in the regular season to take the league title, they get another game in front of the home fans to try to close things out. The result of Game 4 alone will be the lesson that Laval needs about its effort level, and we probably won’t see them play like that again today.
2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs
Western Conference Final Game 3: Dallas Stars @ Edmonton Oilers
Series tied 1-1
How to watch
Start time: 3:00 PM EDT / 12:00 PM PDT
In Canada: CBC, Sportsnet (English) TVA Sports (French)
In the U.S.: ABC
Streaming: ESPN+, Sportsnet+
As they have in each round so far, the Edmonton Oilers were able to put a bad loss behind them and respond with a win. Not only did that earn them a split in Dallas to grab home-ice advantage for themselves, but they have the confidence of having outplayed the Stars in five of the six periods of this series.
In the early stages of this conference final and the death throes of the one going in the East, it’s shaping up to be a rematch of last year’s Stanley Cup Final, but Edmonton has a long way to go to turn its superior play into three more wins. To win both of these home games and afford themselves the opportunity to start preparing for another date with the Florida Panthers, they simply need to keep doing what they’ve been doing since the start of Game 3 of the opening round.
2025 Memorial Cup
Game 3: Rimouski Océanic vs. London Knights
How to watch
Start time: 6:00 PM EDT / 3:00 PM PDT
In Canada: TSN (English), RDS (French)
Streaming: CHL TV, TSN+, RDS
Rimouski put in a valiant effort in the opening game of the tournament versus Gavin McKenna’s Medicine Hat Tigers but ended up falling 5-4. It’s now going to be very difficult for the hosts to get any points in the round robin.
The task doesn’t get any easier with the London Knights on the opposite side of the ice tonight. London didn’t have an easy time in its first game, but did still get a win in overtime to run its post-season record in 2025 to 17-1. Handing the OHL champions a second loss would be an exceptional feat for the QMJHL runner-up.
