2025 AHL Calder Cup Playoffs

North Division Final Game 4: Laval Rocket (N1) vs. Rochester Americans (N2)

LAV leads 2-1

How to watch

Start time: 7:00 PM EDT / 4:00 PM PDT
In Canada: RDS (French)
Streaming: FloHockey, RDS

The Rocket attempted to make a very early goal stand up in Game 3. When the Rochester Americans spoiled that plan in the third period, Laval simply flipped the switch to go back on offence, netting three goals to delight the home fans with a 4-1 win.

It’s not such a bad thing to see a team filled with prospects trying to play a defensive style under post-season pressure, but the lineup is at its best when the players are working their way through the neutral zone to create offence, and the third-period outburst was that style on display. Their best defence is a relentless offence, and perhaps we’ll see that throughout the game tonight as the Rocket attempt to eliminate their division rival.

2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Western Conference Final Game 2: Dallas Stars vs. Edmonton Oilers

DAL leads 1-0

How to watch

Start time: 8:00 PM EDT / 5:00 PM PDT
In Canada: CBC, Sportsnet (English) TVA Sports (French)
In the U.S.: ESPN
Streaming: ESPN+, Sportsnet+

When Brett Kulak took a penalty late in the second period after almost 40 minutes of Edmonton controlling the play, the Oilers couldn’t have known what was in store for them in the third period. Dallas capitalized on that power play and two others in the opening six minutes of the final frame to take the lead, then added two more goals on the way to a 6-3 win.

There shouldn’t bee too much concern for Edmonton going into Game 2. They have one simple directive: stay out of the penalty box. They can draw a lot of positives from their start to the game, and have shown all post-season long they can bounce back from what appear like devastating losses. They would have been happy with a split to open the series, and that remains available to them despite the opening result.

2025 Memorial Cup

Game 1: Medicine Hat Tigers vs. Rimouski Océanic

How to watch

Start time: 7:00 PM EDT / 4:00 PM PDT
In Canada: TSN (English), RDS2 (French)
Streaming: CHL TV, TSN+, RDS

The Rimouski Océanic didn’t get the QMJHL title they were hoping to add to their 30th anniversary celebrations, but they did make it to the league final before falling to 2025 NHL Draft prospect Caleb Desnoyers and the Moncton Wildcats. Their season was guaranteed to stay alive as the hosts of the 2025 Memorial Cup, and they’ll contest the first game of the tournament tonight.

From facing Desnoyers, the Océanic will now go opposite presumptive 2026 first-overall pick Gavin McKenna and the Medicine Hat Tigers. McKenna led the WHL playoffs with 2.38 points per game, and the 17-year-old will be the one Rimouski and most of the people watching this game will be paying the most attention to.
