North Division Final Game 2: Laval Rocket (N1) vs. Rochester Americans (N2)

LAV leads 1-0

How to watch

Start time: 7:00 PM EDT / 4:00 PM PDT
In Canada: RDS2 (French)
Streaming: FloHockey, RDS

Despite the series featuring two of the AHL’s top goaltenders in Cayden Primeau and Devon Levi, Game 1 saw nine goals scored, the ninth a tip from Oliver Kapanen to break a 4-4 tie and give the Laval Rocket an opening win on the road. Such offensive numbers shouldn’t be expected in every game, but it points to the quality of both teams that such a display is a possibility.

Laval has already completed its goal of winning one of the two games on the road. Rochester should be favoured to even up the series on home ice, but if Laval can get the same type of performance from everyone in the lineup, a 2-0 lead before returning to Place Bell would be a major step toward them advancing to the conference finals.

Championship Semifinal Game 4: Montreal Victoire (1) @ Ottawa Charge (3)

OTT leads 2-1

How to watch

Start time: 7:00 PM EDT / 4:00 PM PDT

The Victoire’s goal-scoring woes refuse to go away in the post-season. In Game 3 they weren’t able to score at all, falling 1-0 to Gwyneth Philips and the Ottawa Charge.

Facing elimination in the first round for the second year in a row, Montreal needs to find some solutions for getting on the scoreboard. A win tonight allows then to return to a Place Bell crowd for the deciding Game 5, but the defensively disciplined Charge will want to finish this series on their home ice instead.

2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Atlantic Division Final Game 6: Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Florida Panthers

FLA leads 3-2

How to watch

Start time: 8:00 PM EDT / 5:00 PM PDT
In Canada: CBC, Sportsnet (English) TVA Sports (French)
In the U.S.: TNT, truTV
Streaming: Max, Sportsnet+

Toronto’s goal differential in the Atlantic Division final games has gone +1, +1, -1, -2, and -5. There weren’t many fans left in Scotiabank Arena to see the one goal they scored late in a 6-1 loss, one of the worst by the team in the Auston Matthews era.

It would take a dramatic turnaround in the play of both teams for the Maple Leafs to even up this series. The Panthers have been slowly growing into the form that allowed them to win the Stanley Cup last season, while Toronto appears to have hit its peak. If the Maple Leafs’ vaunted core isn’t able to muster up the effort level required to get the win, it could well be the last time if ever plays together.
