Report: Shane Doan would possibly waive no-movement clause for Habs

Reports say that the Montreal Canadiens are possibly one of the teams Shane Doan would waive his no-move clause for, though they wouldn’t be number one.

Doan has been a staple of the Winnipeg Jets/Arizona Coyotes franchise, but the Coyotes are in fire sale mode. Does it make sense for Marc Bergevin to make a deal for Carey Price’s cousin?

The Canadiens are loaded in depth positions right now, but appear willing to acquire experienced physical players with secondary scoring skills, and Doan fits that bill.

Doan had spoken out about the team trading Martin Hanzal this weekend.

Doan, of course could have been drafted by Montreal, but was taken one pick before the Habs drafted. They instead took Terry Ryan.
