Report: Alex Radulov seeking $7M per season over six years
The talented winger won’t come cheap
During Marc Bergevin’s press conference today he was quoted as saying “we have limits” regarding the contract negotiations with Alex Radulov.
Pierre LeBrun is now reporting that those limits may be pushed, as the skilled winger is seeking a $7M contract.
Hearing that Radulov's latest contract ask was six years at $7 M per season. No way Habs do that...

As it stands, the Canadiens have $21M in projected cap space, with 17 roster players signed. They still need to sign RFA Alex Galchenyuk, albeit there’s a real possibility he moves before the season starts. It’s also worth noting that veteran defenceman Andrei Markov is an unrestricted free agent, although he’s probably not keen to leave Montreal at this point in his career.
Bergevin is also open to the idea of trading Radulov’s rights if both parties cannot come to an agreement on a new contract.
Marc Bergevin not excluding the possibility of trading Alex Radulov's rights if he feels he can't sign him. #Canadiens
