The Canadiens have been linked to Vrbata all day, and leading up to the trade deadline, but it seems the competition drove the price beyond what the Habs were willing to pay.
There is still time for things to change, but it appears Canadiens fans may need to scratch Radim Vrbata off their target lists.
Marc Bergevin’s biggest acquisitions in previous Trade Deadlines have been players whose price fell below the expectation, which makes you think he wouldn’t pay too much for someone like Vrbata.
