NHL: Arizona Coyotes at Montreal Canadiens Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

This week on Habsent Minded, Jared Book is joined by Scott Matla and Namiko Hitotsubashi.

The big story this week was that Shea Weber underwent knee surgery for a torn meniscus and will be out until mid-December. What does it mean for the Canadiens defence heading into the start of the season?

We take a question from a listener who asks whether the Canadiens can be competitive within 2-3 years and take advantage of Carey Price and Weber’s contributions.

We also look at the free agency period and the decisions that were made by Marc Bergevin as well as a bit on the new assistant coach of the Laval Rocket, Alexandre Burrows.
