Habs Eyes on the Prize is launching a new podcast called Habsent Minded. This week, Deputy Managing Editor Jared Book and Scott Matla look back at the NHL Draft and forward to the team’s development camp.

Trade rumours swirled around Montreal Canadiens captain Max Pacioretty at the Draft with him being linked to the New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings, and San Jose Sharks. He even entered contract talks with the Kings which eventually fell through, and that was followed by an agent change. What does it mean? What’s next?

We also look at the 11 new prospects in the organization following the NHL Draft, including Jesperi Kotkaniemi and the Russian Man of Mystery Alexander Romanov. We also take a look ahead to the team’s development camp that starts Friday and look at which youngsters can surprise this year.

The podcast will be on iTunes and Google Play Music soon. Here is the Soundcloud link. You can also download the file to listen to it at your convenience.

You can also follow the podcast on Twitter at @Habsent_Minded and send in your questions that we can use in a future episode.
