After drafting four forwards in a row to start their 2024 NHL Draft, the Montreal Canadiens dipped into the defence market, selecting Owen Protz from the Brantford Bulldogs of the OHL.
Standing 6’0″ tall and at 201 pounds, Protz is a defensively sound, aggressively physical defender who loves engaging opponents with bone-jarring hits. Last year in the OHL he put up 19 points in 66 games split between the Sudbury Wolves and the Brantford Bulldogs
The Habs are back on the clock at 130th overall.
