Though we were about a week late getting to it, the regular crew of myself, Jared Book, and Patrik Bexell got together to discuss the Montreal Canadiens’ organizational players of last month. While February was cut somewhat short for Habs action thanks to the Four Nations tournament, we still had plenty to go over.

Nick Suzuki was our Habs’ player of the month for Feburary, and as we agree on the podcast itself, he could realistically deserve the honour for just about every month of the season. If you were to award an MVP for the 2024-25 Habs as of this writing, you would be hard pressed not to give it to the team’s captain. We discuss how strong his February was, and how his performance coming out of the Four Nations break suggests that he’s on a mission to prove something to Hockey Canada.

Elsewhere, Sean Farrell was our AHL player, Oliver Kapanen took Europe, Michael Hage was our North American prospect, and Ann-René Desbiens took the PWHL.

We had some recent comments around how Kapanen has been able to defeat Ivan Demidov for the honour of European prospect of the month, and we think we’ve been able to answer that question in great detail for those who were wondering how our players are picked.
