NHL Trade Deadline - Steve Mason acquired by the Flyers

We have a trade to announce...

The Philadelphia Flyers continue to be inept in their evaluations of goaltenders, as they've traded for rookie sensation and ever-since-then abomination Steve Mason.

It's more than an odd occurrence considering Sergei Bobrovsky, who's ripping things up in Columbus right now, was traded there by Philadelphia.

Mason is having yet another horrible season with a .899 save percentage, so he'll fit right in in Philadelphia. Mason is earning $2.9M against the cap this season, and is a restricted free agent at the end of the year. His salary though, is $3.2M this season, so he has to be qualified for at least that for the Flyers to retain his rights.
