The Columbus Blue Jackets have made a massive trade, sending John Moore, Derick Brassard, and Derek Dorsett to the New York Rangers in exchange for Marian Gaborik.
Gaborik was having a down year with the Rangers, but he remains an elite level scoring winger in this league.
John Moore is a first round pick of the Blue Jackets who’s rated as one of the top young defensive prospects in the game, while Brassard is a former 6th overall pick who could just never break out in Columbus. Dorsett is a bit of a throw in.
