NHL Trade Deadline Day – Tradecenter Open Thread

Alright everyone, buckle up and turn on TSN, it’s time to watch James Duthie win a Genie Award by somehow getting through another trade deadline day where nothing happens without quitting his job.

The tradecenter panel will be working their butts off to break trades, and leeches like Eklund will be making them up. We’ll be reporting them here as quickly as possible, and analyzing in the comments section.

I think it’s unlikely that the Canadiens make any more moves, as the acquisition of Davis Drewiske yesterday strikes me as the kind of minor, low cost move that Bergevin is partial to. There’s always the outside shot that something crazy happens, but I believe that after Michael Ryder’s acquisition and the waiver wire pickup of Jeff Halpern make the Canadiens strong enough that Bergevin is satisfied with not moving for big pieces.

There’s also the possible return of Rene Bourque, who has thankfully resumed skating. So there’s not much else to say, other than…
