2020 NHL Entry Draft: Day Two — Preview, start time, TV schedule, and how to watch

Things were going mostly as expected in the first round of the 2020 NHL Draft. There were few surprises. The first 13 picks selected were the top 13 from our consensus rankings before we hit the middle batch of closely ranked prospects and teams targeted specific skills and positions. Proceedings went completely off the rails when Jarmo Kekalainen stepped up and drafted a player few had heard of, and that seemed to inspire subsequent selections to go a bit farther off the board as well.

Because of that, there are players still available whom many outlets have ranked as first-round talents. We also didn’t see much trading yesterday despite all the talk of teams needing to move contracts. It should mean an eventful second day, when 185 more players will realize their dream of being chosen by an NHL team.
