The Detroit Red Wings fell below the Montreal Canadiens with a win over the Buffalo Sabres. Buffalo became the first team to reach 41 regulation losses, not getting a single point in half a season’s worth of games.
It’s a three-game winning streak for the Vancouver Canucks. Connor McDavid was the only one who objected to the victory. The Edmonton Oilers moved up two spots with the loss.
A rare win for the Ottawa Senators came when the other team wasn’t allowed to put any skaters on the ice in overtime.
The Arizona Coyotes were tied with the Los Angeles Kings with five minutes remaining, but couldn’t hang on for the win. They move back above the Senators based on games played.
Playoff hopes for the Dallas Stars are all but dashed after yet another loss.
The Calgary Flames now have a seven-game losing streak.
The Chicago Blackhawks stunned the Winnipeg Jets with a 6-2 win, cocky enough to let some random person from the stands man the net for the majority of the third period.

Today’s schedule: The Blackhawks, New York Islanders, and New York Rangers can mix up the midfield with a variety of results tonight. Chicago probably won’t go into its game versus the Colorado Avalanche with one goaltender, though the Avs wouldn’t mind a beer-addled netminder in their quest to regain a playoff spot. And the Carolina Hurricanes can do the Isles a favour with a win over the Calgary Flames.
