The Buffalo Sabres and Arizona Coyotes both won last night, each beating one of the top teams in the East. With Arizona’s win, there are now three teams tied for second with 63 points.
The Detroit Red Wings lost for a 13th time in their last 14 games. They still can’t gain ground on the Ottawa Senators.
The Chicago Blackhawks lost and got a point, so no fan of that team got a positive result last night.
The New Jersey Devils are finally under threat from the charge the Florida Panthers have been on since the start of the new year.
The Calgary Flames got shut out for a third time in five games, and that’s good news for a New York Islanders team — which also lost last night — that holds their first-round pick. The Flames loss moved the Kings into a playoff spot,
