2017 NHL Entry Draft: The Montreal Canadiens select Scott Walford 68th overall

The Habs continue to restock the defensive prospect pool

The first of two Montreal picks in round three comes courtesy of the Buffalo Sabres organization. The Habs acquired the 68th pick in a trade that sent Nathan Beaulieu to their divisional rivals earlier this week.

With said pick Trevor Timmins and his team selected defenceman Scott Walford from the Victoria Royals.

The Canadiens will also pick 87th overall in this round, before making their final selection of the day in the fifth round, pending any trades.
