2014 NHL Entry Draft: TV schedule, live streams and more

The first round of the 2014 NHL draft goes live tonight at 7pm Eastern time. Here are some of the ways you can get in on the action.

Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

Draft day is upon us. If you're looking for Montreal Canadiens coverage, look no further as EOTP will be diligent in our coverage of all seven Habs picks and how they are used. We do understand that you may want to catch the action as it happens, so here are some of the ways you can tune in live to the NHL draft tonight.

For our Canadian friends, you can of course catch the entire draft on TSN, with day one starting at 7pm Eastern, 4pm for those of us on the west coast. If RDS is available in your region they will be carrying the french language coverage for you. Our American friends will be looking at the same time of course, but if you're south of the 49th, you'll want to tune in to NBC Sports. Day two of the draft will start Saturday morning at 10am Eastern, 7am Pacific. You should be able to utilize the same outlets for watching the second through seventh rounds as you will tonight.

If you are like me and prefer internet based viewing, there will be live streaming options as well. NBC live extra will be streaming the draft for free in the USA, which you can also watch on your mobile device using their app. Canadian friends, that link will unfortunately not help you, but will be streaming the TSN coverage on their website, which should be readily available to Canadian IP addresses.

Most major Canadian cellular service providers will offer mobile TV as an option for a fairly low and sometimes no cost, generally inclusive of TSN and/or RDS. If you do subscribe to a Canadian TV provider, you can also download the TSN GO app, log in using your provided TV service account, and watch there. I can't be sure how this stuff works on the American side, but I'd be willing to bet even money that your service providers have similar options if you're going to be stuck somewhere and require mobile viewing, so check that out if you're in need.

All TSN radio stations will be on location throughout the draft with live coverage. So, whether you're stuck on the road, at work, the airport, or wherever, you should have plenty of options for tuning in to the action. EOTP will also have an open thread throughout the draft, and we encourage you to pop in and discuss all things Habs at this year's event.

Happy draft day folks!
