The Professional Women’s Hockey League released their 2025-26 schedule on Wednesday morning, and the Montreal Victoire will open their third season on November 23 against the Boston Fleet in Boston.
The team’s home opener will be two days later, on November 25, when they host the New York Sirens at Place Bell.
It is the first time their home opener will be on a weeknight, and the team will have six weeknight games at Place Bell this season, down from nine a year ago. The average attendance of weekend games in Laval was over 10,000 as opposed to around 7,000 on weeknights. The PWHL season starts on November 21.
The team will make their first West Coast trip in December when they will face the expansion teams in Vancouver and Seattle on December 20 and 23 respectively.
There are three TBD home games on the schedule: December 27 vs. Toronto, January 11 vs. Vancouver, and March 28 vs. New York. It can be assumed that at least one is for a Takeover Tour game at a neutral site, and another will be at the Bell Centre. The Victoire have played a game at the Bell Centre in each of their first two seasons.
This is a big season for the PWHL as it is their first with the Olympics. Like the NHL, the PWHL will suspend play in February. This is the first Olympic year where North American professional hockey will be played by the national team players. In the past, the Canadian and American teams would centralize but with the stability and level of play in the PWHL, that is no longer necessary.
Montreal will end the season with their second West Coast trip on April 21 and 25. The PWHL season ends on the 25th with all eight teams in action.
