Montreal Hockey Summit, Cammi’s new vid and more Habs links

You had to love the soundbite (via CJAD), from Montreal Canadiens GM Pierre Gauthier, on the team during a press conference for the Molson Export Quebec Hockey Summit, coming this August.

“Absolutely nothing to report,” was all he said Tuesday afternoon. That said, we will have to divulge in our own speculations and those of others. And of course there is plenty of it out there.

The Quebec Conference will be well worth checking out for those in La Belle Province, and looks to be following along the ideas of the World Hockey Summit held last year in Toronto.

A video of PG introducing the event, and some other Habs-related links after the jump.

One thing we have been made aware of is that the Canadiens will be playing the Tampa Bay Lightning, in an exhibition game, at Quebec’s Colisee Pepsi on October 1. Tickets will go on sale this Saturday at 10am EST.

Josh Gorges on his abbreviated season, and looking forward to a healthy 2011-12.

OK so Mike Cammalleri gets manicures. Scary thing was, I was debating getting one before my wedding!

Eric Engels feels James Wisniewski will not be on the Habs’ “to do” list. Engels is also tired of the “Why didn’t they keep…” contingent.

Mentioned earlier in the week by HIO, but I thought I’d share this article on the history of advanced stats.
