With a win on Wednesday night, the Montreal Canadiens punched their ticket to the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, making them the final team to do so as the Eastern Conference’s second wild card and setting the field of 16 teams.
The NHL has now announced the schedule for the post-season. The Canadiens will start their series with the Eastern Conference-winning Washington Capitals on Monday in the District of Columbia. That allows the Canadiens to have a decent amount of rest after a frantic run to the post-season since the 4 Nations Face-Off. Game 1 will be played on April 21 at 7 PM Eastern at Capital One Arena.
